Following the nuking of 80% of my blog, I figured I should make a post laying out what I intend to do with it going forwards as a starter point
Over the past year, I’ve used the site as an emotional outlet for the horrific experiences I’ve had with local services after becoming survirley ill with myofacial complications. Whilst at times it helped to have a space to vent, it became nothing more than a negative outlet, which given what I’d been going through, it made sense to do so at the time.
As of more recently, I’ve decided against posting when I’m in a bad mood, depressed or feeling suicidal due to the lack of support that’s been implemented by those who should be helping like the NHS and local council. I still have pages dedicated to certain individuals who have caused me extreme harm/PTSD and will continue to host them to hold them to account. Having my blog come up when searching their name with my side of the story is the only way I can reclaim the narrative when people like the police have failed to do their duty to investigate properly. The police literally have even given up on my sexual abuse case since being arrested for medical cannabis and being given a criminal record, so I have no intention on backing down and letting them cover up the narrative. This being said, the whole site doesn’t need to be dedicated to negativity and it serves me little to no purpose to talk about it outside of the spaces I’ve dedicated to them. If further things are bothering me about them, I have dedicated spaces to add extra details about how it’s effecting me to this day.
I’ve cut most substances out of my daily routine and am concentrating on using cannabis and anti-inflammatory’s instead of just relying on opiates and benzos for pain relief, however when getting back home today, I was in so much pain screaming in agony that I had to resort to 100mg tramadol. Tramadol at 100mg now is working 10x more effectively than it was before, however I don’t wish to stay on it due to it effecting my mood and the way I treated others.
I realize that the only way I’m going to get proper healthcare is to go private, in or out of the UK. And so I’m focusing my efforts on Android app development for the moment due to the reach that the App Store has to promote any app, rather than taking months not just to be indexed by Google which I can do pretty well in the space of less than a month, but to gain traction by advertising in different ways which I will have to do anyway. But with the App Store if it trends, there’s more chance of it being picked up by people than just a site. I’ve realized that most of my projects will require a backend site though, as I’m looking at AI apps such as a AI therapist app and AI photo creation app, as token/credit usage will need to be tamper proof. Using a server as a middleman for authentication and credit usage prevents someone spoofing fake credits on their phone using a app patcher, as if there is no credits for the user in the database it won’t matter if their phone is sending a false request stating they do.
For the medication tracker app I have, I’ve decided to implement a feature for a public facing medication chart/table page that premium users can generate with their own custom subdomain. For example, https://nickysimsec.meditracker.com Which would show a page such as https://blog.stitch.network/medications. I was trying to think of premium/donation features but since it’s such a niche app that’s the best I could think off. I will implement a feature for a optional four digit PIN to retain user privacy should their URL leak or be found, and having the ability to share their medication table with other users is something I think older/vulnerable people would benefit from being able to share with their family or friends to prompt them to take medication if they haven’t already or monitor if they are keeping up with their medications.
Over the next week, I want to finish up all the things I have to ship, at least first versions of things to production, as I always have so many things coded up but nothing polished enough to bring to market or flaws that make it in my opinion not ready to ship yet. After that I am focusing on designing, creating and launching one app, site or product a month which I seen many times as a challenge online. This will give me the motivation and inspiration to keep creating as I’ll have goals set every week to get things done and shipped.
